Absolutely. Olanzo works directly with Costa Rica's official SINPE system and all major banks. Your payments are processed through the same secure banking infrastructure you already trust. We add an extra layer of security with instant payment confirmations, eliminating the fraud risks associated with SMS-based confirmations. Your banking credentials never pass through Olanzo - we simply facilitate the connection to your existing bank account.
Olanzo works with all major Costa Rican banks that support SINPE Móvil via SMS. Since we're built on top of the national SINPE infrastructure, if your bank offers SINPE Móvil via SMS, it works seamlessly with Olanzo.

Paying at Olanzo-enabled merchants is incredibly simple, either pay to the merchants SINPE phone number via your bank, SMS or by using the SINPE app. You chose! With the Olanzo app:

- Open your Olanzo app and tap the scan button
- Scan the QR code
- Confirm the amount
- Complete the payment
The merchant receives instant confirmation, and you'll see the transaction in your history immediately. The entire process takes about 26 seconds from start to finish.
Payment request is one of our most popular features! Instead of asking someone verbally to pay you back, you can send them a digital payment request directly through Olanzo. They'll receive a notification and can approve the payment with just a few taps. This is perfect for splitting restaurant bills, collecting money for group gifts, or any situation where someone owes you money. It's faster, clearer, and eliminates the awkwardness of asking for money.
Yes! Unlike traditional SINPE Móvil, Olanzo keeps a complete, organized record of all your transactions. You can view your payment history by date, by person, or search for specific transactions. This makes it easy to track your spending, remember who you've paid, and never lose track of a transaction again.
When you pay with Olanzo at participating merchants, you can earn various rewards including cashback offers, digital stamp cards (collect stamps with each purchase to earn free items), exclusive discounts, and promotional offers. You'll see available offers directly in the app when you're near participating merchants.

Unlike traditional SINPE Móvil where you wait for an SMS (which can be delayed or missed), Olanzo provides instant confirmation:
- When a customer scans your QR code and completes payment, you receive immediate notification on your merchant app or SoundBox
On the Merchant app you’ll see the payment confirmation, the amount and the history.
On the SoundBox payment terminal you’ll get a verbal confirmation of the received payment amount. This confirmation you can also repeat by pressing the M button on the SoundBox.

Upon becoming a customer with Olanzo you open a bank account with our partner bank. You’ll receive any payment instantly into that bank account and can, if you wish, keep your fund in that bank account or transfer it to any other bank in Costa Rica.
